These peaberry coffee beans are hand-selected from our long-term partner community, Colonia Siete Estrellas (Seven Stars). Peaberries, or "Caracol" in Spanish, are the roughly 10%-15% of coffee beans from a given tree that fuse into a single oblong bean inside the cherry, rather than separating into the two typical bean halves. They have a unique flavor, both because of the concentration of flavors in the cherry while growing, and because they roll more evenly inside the coffee roaster during roasting.
